The following message was referred to AVERT from concerned customers in the Netherlands and is considered a hoax message. The content of the note cannot be substantiated and is therefore classified to be a hoax message. Below is a copy of the hoax as received to AVERT - it should not be taken seriously and should be ignored.

Watch this!! If you get an e-mail with the file "Flashmaster G" you should not open it. This file contains the virus "El Poco". Your harddisk will be erased immediately but can also bring down a complete network. Send this e-mail to as many people as possible. It's a new, high-risk virus that only a few people know about. Send it to as many friends, colleagues and relations as possible so infection can be stopped. It is a high-risk virus en is not supported by any anti-virus program."

LET OP!! Als je een e-mail ontvangt met een file "FlashMaster G" moet je hem NIET openen. Dit bericht bevat het virus "El Poco". Je harde schijf wordt dan meteen gewist maar ook kan een heel netwerk worden platgelegd. Stuur deze e-mail naar zoveel mogelijk mensen. Het is een nieuwe, zeer kwaadaardig virus en maar weinig mensen kennen het. Niet veel mensen weten nog van dit virus, dus zend deze mail aan zoveel mogelijk vrienden, kennissen en relaties, zodat de verspreiding van het virus kan worden stopgezet. Het is een zeer gevaarlijk virus en wordt op dit moment door nog geen enkel anti-virus programma herkend.
