Upon installation of this application the following changes occur in the user's system.

This application installs the following searchbar.



The following files are created in %Program Files%\Accoona folder:

  • quiesce.exe
  • tbquiesce.exe
  • ASearchAssist.dll
  • SARemove.exe
  • showbar.exe
  • atoolbar.dll

ASearchAssist.dll is installed as Browser Helper Object.

Browser Helper Objects are executable files that are loaded when the browser is launched. They can perform various task,such as generating extra pop-up ads, monitoring page navigation, etc.

The following Registry keys are added:

  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Accoona
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Accoona\Toolbar
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Accoona\Search Assistant
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Accoona\Toolbar\Components
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Accoona\Toolbar\Search History

This application modifies the user's search page to http://www.accoona.com .
